The Hawk Wire is the media club of St. Joseph's Prep that includes WSJP, The Hawkeye, Hawk Talk, and mutlimedia creators. Members from each club work in coordination with one another under The Hawk Wire.

Our club was established in August 2025.

At The Hawk Wire, we aim to illuminate the creativity and hard work of students through broadcasting, reporting,  and multimedia. We celebrate our community while fostering personal growth.

BRINGING STUDENT TALENT TO LIGHT

JOIN OUR TEAM

Within the rapidly changing realm of multimedia journalism, The Hawk Wire establishes a home for all types of content creators: journalists, broadcasters, on-air hosts, photographers, graphic designers, producers, and more.

All Prep students are encouraged to join our team. Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligibile for leadership roles within all three of our clubs, and our multimedia department.

WORDS ABOUT OUR WORK

"St. Joseph's Prep is where our son attends. He entered and fell in-love with WSJP, the broadcast operations that I would put up against almost all across the country."

"I believe The Hawkeye is a vital gift to the SJP community. I am especially glad to see so many underclassmen involved, and I feel sure they will be mentored well by your veterans."

"I could not believe I was listening to HS students.  These guys were great in all aspects of their game calling, producing and camera work.  I am sure if they pursue careers in media/ broadcasting that their futures will be quite bright! Everyone at Prep should be really proud of these great young men."

"As always, I am stunned by the amount of work and dedication involved to create such a terrific high school newspaper. I am only halfway through it, and I have already learned so much. There is something for everyone in this issue."
